The Old Cream Shop in Croyde is jam packed with mouthwatering delights. Some of the best pasties, definitely the best ice cream, coffee, cakes, cold drinks, beach stuff and souvenirs.

On offer are a range of freshly prepared food options, either to take away or enjoy in the tea garden. There are also a range of gifts in the shop, to remind you of Croyde Bay, and take home. The Old Cream Shop should definitely be on your list of things to do in Croyde.

At CroydeBay.com we try and be impartial, but there are some things we are really passionate about, and believe it or not ice cream is one of them. In our opinion, the best ice cream in Croyde is available at The Old Cream Shop, here’s why:

Firstly, it’s so creamy! Secondly, the portions are generous! Thirdly, the flavour selection is amazing, you have to try salted caramel! Fourthly the options are endless: If you prefer a waffle cone, a cup, a regular cone, a flake or clotted cream you can choose whatever your favourite combination is. Fifthly, the ice cream is made locally by Kelly’s Of Cornwall.

The Old Cream Shop pasty selection really is second to none in Croyde: from traditional steak, to chicken and chorizo, to cheese and onion. There are even gourmet options like smoked haddock and gouda.

The pasties are tasty, with plenty of filling. The pastry is crisp. At CroydeBay.com we think that overall they are a perfect lunchtime snack especially when washed down with a bottle of Korev!

There are a lovely selection of tasteful gifts to choose from inside the Old Cream Shop. You can also grab a table for a cup of tea or coffee, maybe even a cream tea! There is a lunch menu to choose from if you fancy something a bit more filling too.

Somewhat of a hidden secret in Croyde is the delightful garden behind The Old Cream Shop. It’s a lovely quiet sun trap perfect to while away a few hours with friends and family over a lazy lunch.

Located behind The Old Cream Shop Croyde is Surfing Croyde Bay, an excellent place to get surf lessons while staying in Croyde. Surfing Croyde Bay is run by Damon Beveridge, an England Surfing coach who also runs the Surf Development UK coaching programme based at Croyde Bay.
