Surfing Croyde Bay
Surfing Croyde Bay is the brainchild of Damon Beveridge, England Surfing, Junior Head Coach. Offering a variety of surf lessons for adults and children in a 1:1 or group format. The surf school has been featured in Carve Magazine, The Independent, Airbnb, Surfing England, BBC and Vogue. It’s the go to place if you want to learn to surf in Croyde.
Surfing Croyde Bay is a highly regarded surf school based at Baggy Point on the northern end of the beach at Croyde. It is well respected and considered as the best place to learn surfing in Croyde, if not the best place to learn to surf in the UK.
Surfing Croyde Bay offers 5 different surf lesson packages. Each of the 5 surf lessons course has the same basic structure:
- An “on land” lesson section which covers a briefing based on your ability, a short 5 min walk to the beach, a safety talk, warm up and recap of focus points for the lesson.
- the second section is a practical application of the focus points in the water with a minimum of 1.5 hrs surfing.
All equipment is included in each lesson, surfboard, wetsuits, boots, gloves & hood if necessary.

Surfing Croyde Bay has a really cool set-up, as you might expect from a Surfing England Centre of Excellence. There are newly refurbished changing rooms, shower facilities, a range of bang up to date Softech surf boards and wetsuits.
