Croyde has some great independently run pubs, serving real ale, wine and an array of gins, rums and other spirits. Some local pubs focus on food, some on live sports and some are family favourites. In this guide you’ll discover the right pub for your trip. We’re sure you’ll enjoy finding your own favourite!

Both Croyde and Georgeham have some fantastic pubs, arguably the best in the North Devon area. If you’re looking for an authentic thatched pub, coaching inn or a building with a bit of history that serves tasty local beers, delicious food or a pub garden, you’ve come to the right place.

The guide below will help you choose which pub is right for you!

All of the pubs are children and dog-friendly; the latter may have some restrictions.

One lovely aspect of all of the Croyde and Georgeham local pubs is how inviting and welcoming they are! Not just the friendly faces of the bar staff but the atmospheres that the pubs create. On a wintery day, the fires are roaring, delicious wintery warmer foods are always on the menu and in the summer, the garden tables are busy with people enjoying the warm sunshine and drinking cold drinks and there is always great buzzy sunshine feeling.

The Thatch and The King’s Arms have some great local bands and musicians playing live as well as open mic sessions. When there is live music playing, the pub literally bursts at the seams with people enjoying themselves.

The Rock has an awesome menu and great beers and ciders and super dog-friendly.

But if you’re after watching some live Sport on the TV, both The Manor Inn and Billy Budd’s have sky sports. So grab a chair and hopefully, your team will win while you’re staying down in Croyde!

There is nothing like having a vast variety of choice of food when you are at a pub, and the local pubs in Croyde and Georgeham do not disappoint. All the pubs serve fresh locally sourced foods and serve local cuisine, pub grub and have vast meat, veggie and vegan options. The variety of dishes on the menu is out of this world and of course, don’t forget to check their specials too!

As with any location during high season, it’s always advisable to book as it can get extremely busy.
