THE BEST ICE CREAM IN CROYDE

What’s not to like about a delicious ice cream on a hot summer’s day in Croyde Bay? And if you’re in the mood for tasting one of the best ice-creams in your life you’re in luck. Avoid the obvious choice on Hobbs Hill (the main road in Croyde), Croyde’s Ice Cream Parlour, and head for The Old Cream Shop.

The Old Cream Shop is, without a doubt, the best place to get an ice-cream in Croyde village, and in fact in the whole of Croyde, maybe even the whole of Devon. So what makes The Old Cream Shop’s ice cream so good?

Firstly, it has to be the amazing flavor. Imagine the creamiest tasting ice cream in a whole array of different flavours. Choose from honeycombe, stem ginger, caffe latte, butterscotch and over 20 more.

When we mean creamy, we mean mega creamy, like the creamiest ice cream you’ve ever tried. The problem is once you’ve tried it, any other ice-cream just won’t cut it… you’ve been warned!

Secondly, the portions are generous. One scoop here is often served as at least 2 scoops. I have no idea why but every ice cream that is served is always on the generous portion side. Maybe follow our local’s tip: order a kids size, it’s actually perfect as an adult size too.

Thirdly, the options are awesome. Choose from a crispy fresh waffle cone, a chocolate dipped waffle cone, or even get your favourite ice cream flavour whipped up into a rich, thirst quenching milkshake.

Finally, The Old Cream Shop is a cool place to hang out. There’s some seating inside, a lovely secret garden out back and a roof terrace too. In the afternoon and evening the back of The Old Cream shop is transformed into the The Hang Loose Bar. Chilled white wine anyone?
